Qin Sanctuary · Island Guide

An independent island east of your home, inspired by Qinhuangdao’s Qin Emperor’s Sea Expedition site. Explore the gateway, imperial procession, emperor statue, palace, Seven States precinct and seaside gardens.

Swim east from the main island or use the existing jet ski. Dismount near the west visitor dock, swim ashore, then return to your parked boat. Press F to board or leave; use W/S and A/D to drive, or the mobile joystick.

Follow the west path south to the gateway, then north along the ceremonial axis. Press M for the map and F at a landmark for its guide. This is a photo-informed voxel interpretation, not a surveyed one-to-one replica.

Qin Gateway & Imperial Procession

Four tapered stone towers frame three walk-through gates, with corbelled eaves, layered tiled roofs and inscriptions on both faces. Recessed upper windows, latticework and open side doors complete the gatehouse.

Paired winged guardians have broad heads, carved paws, layered wings and curled tails rather than horse bodies. Their pale stone plinths sit beside the paved forecourt, clear of all three entry routes. Warm baked lighting reveals the towers, eaves and sculpture at night. This voxel interpretation follows reference photographs, not a measured reconstruction.

The 40-metre procession base carries 32 figures, 20 horses and two chariots. Walk around either end to continue to the emperor. The historical inscription and seaside blessing monuments flank the plaza.

Bian Que Healing · The Physician's Visit

This scene imagines a physician's visit in the tradition of Bian Que. The seated doctor in a pale sage robe supports the patient's wrist with one hand and rests three fingers on it with the other. The reclining patient extends an arm onto a cushioned side table.

An attendant carries a bowl and a wrapped packet. A drawer cabinet and ceramic jars stand behind them, while a side table holds a mortar, pestle and herbs. Walk around either side to see the hands and tools without blocking the front view.

This voxel group is a thematic interpretation, not a reconstruction of a documented treatment. Its clothing, cabinet and utensils support the story rather than establish an archaeological date.

Journey to Jieshi · Procession & Quest

Soldiers, horses and chariots evoke Qin Shi Huang's eastern procession toward the coast. View the formation from the front, then walk around its sides to compare armor, robes and poses.

The First Emperor's annals in the Shiji record his visit to Jieshi and his dispatch of Lu Sheng of Yan to seek immortals. This installation links the gateway, imperial statue and palace into a themed route.

The voxel procession is an artistic interpretation, not an archaeological reconstruction of a specific entourage or formation. The Jieshi account involving Lu Sheng should not be confused with Xu Fu's separate maritime quest.

Qu Yuan · Poetry & Devotion

Qu Yuan was a poet and political figure of Chu during the Warring States period. His biography in the Shiji describes his service, exclusion from court and composition of Li Sao amid sorrow and frustration.

His writing expresses devotion to his homeland, ideals and integrity. This statue belongs to the eastern historical displays and complements the scholars and stories in the western precinct.

Qu Yuan lived before Qin's unification. He did not accompany the First Emperor's eastern tours or quest for immortality. Presenting these figures in one park does not imply that they met here.

Xu Fu · The Maritime Quest

Xu Fu was a Qin-era fangshi associated with the maritime search for immortality. The First Emperor's annals in the Shiji describe his report of three sacred islands and his commission to lead a party out to sea.

The statue connects imperial hopes, the envoy's commission and a departing fleet. The palace's original animation interprets that theme without claiming that immortals or an elixir were found.

Ancient accounts and later traditions must be distinguished when discussing his route and destination. This park does not present a specific landing place as proven, or this statue as evidence of a historical departure site.

First Emperor · Facing the Sea

The pale-grey stone emperor faces the southern sea, raising a ceremonial vessel with both hands. Long sleeves fall from the bent arms above a crossed collar, belt, apron and layered robe folds. Sculpted brows, eyelids, nose and beard define the face, with bead strands at the front and back of the crown.

A stepped stone plinth and rock-shaped footing anchor the monument on the plaza before the palace. Walk around either side to see the rear drapery. Warm baked lighting reveals the face, hands, sides and back at night. This is a photo-informed voxel sculpture, not a scan or a measured reconstruction.

Qinhuangdao · Great Wall Projection

Explore the Great Wall at the long projection table along the rear wall of the palace ground floor. Press F or tap the interaction prompt.

Immortality Palace · Two Levels

Climb the central stairs to a three-metre terrace and an enterable palace with tiered roofs, timber columns and stone balustrades.

A long projection table along the ground-floor rear wall displays winding miniature walls and passes over a blue-green mountain relief. Press F nearby or tap the prompt to search sections, read sources or start a tour. Explore the Great Wall.

The lower theatre loops an original pixel-art story, The Emperor's Quest by the Sea: the eastern procession, the Emperor's arrival, his quest for immortality, and the fleet's departure. Banners, soldiers, a chariot and the crowned Emperor in black and gold carry the story, which ends with him watching the ships leave from shore. Its four acts run for 48 seconds, with Chinese or English captions following the language switch. Three rows of seats flank a central aisle marked by low guide lights.

Take the east staircase to five miniature exhibits: a coastal lookout, a shipyard, a departing fleet, a wooded island and a harbor. Their animated backdrops show the procession, arrival, quest, commission and departure. Model ships move gently across a central maritime display. The 24 wishing wheels remain at the rear, and both levels are reachable on foot.

Approach a cinema seat and press F, or tap Sit down on a phone, to watch from the first act in a full-window screening with the game interface hidden. Switch language at the top left, pause or replay below, and press F, Esc or Leave cinema to stand up at your previous aisle position. Reduced-motion preferences start playback paused; select Play to opt in.

This is an artistic interpretation of the quest, not a scene-by-scene historical reconstruction or a claim that immortals were found. The original licensed film, mechanical 4D effects and original panorama show are not reproduced.

Seven States · Scholars & History

The western precinct links seven-state banners, courtyards and sculptural scenes: Jixia Academy, Bian Que, the Yi River warriors, Zhao culture, mounted archers, the tiger tally, the Millet Dream and Han Fei Hall.

Three story displays have plaques in front: walk close and press F, or tap the lower-right prompt on a phone, to read their legends. Enter both teaching halls to see scholars and desks. Qu Yuan, Xu Fu, the Bixi stele and Emperor Well stand along the eastern paths.

A four-column, three-bay gateway leads to Jixia Academy, with a covered portico, timber lattice windows and an open central doorway. Inside, a teacher addresses eight pupils seated at four low writing desks. Bamboo slips, brushes, inkstones and storage cabinets complete the lecture scene. Walk through the central and side aisles. This is a themed interpretation, not an archaeological reconstruction.

Farewell at Yi River presents two figures clasping hands: a traveller with a topknot and sheathed sword, and a companion in a long robe and tall crown. Behind them, an attendant holds a tray with a wine vessel and cups. Pale stone, clay and muted sage distinguish their robes; a low river-pattern relief and reeds suggest the riverbank. This is an interpretation of the attraction's theme, not an exact copy of the original sculpture.

Han Fei Hall stands beyond a separate forecourt north of the story courtyard, reached by paths along either side. Timber lattice doors and windows enclose a study-like interior. A teacher holds bamboo slips behind the main desk, four pupils read or write at side tables, and cabinets store scrolls along the rear wall. Stone benches and low planters frame the open forecourt; a rear path remains walkable.

Zhao Culture Courtyard · The Era of Mounted Reform

Zhao Culture Courtyard is a themed display about the state of Zhao, not a reconstruction of one single historical event. Riders, standards, guards and a formal array turn the theme into a readable voxel scene.

Its historical background is the “Hu-style clothing and mounted archery” reform associated with King Wuling of Zhao. Zhao adopted northern riding practices, clothing suited to mounted archery and stronger cavalry training during the military competition of the Warring States period. The reform and its debate are recorded in the Records of the Grand Historian, “House of Zhao.”

The three riders, two guards and standards are a visual interpretation of that theme, not an archaeological reconstruction of named individuals. Walk to the plaque and press F; on a phone, tap the lower-right prompt.

Stealing the Tiger Tally · Lord Xinling’s Rescue

Late in the Warring States period, Qin forces besieged Handan, the capital of Zhao. Wei prince Wuji, known as Lord Xinling, wanted to send relief but was constrained by the Wei king and the commander Jin Bi. The story turns on the military tally that authorized a troop mobilization.

In the Records of the Grand Historian, “Biographical Sketch of the Lord of Wei,” Ru Ji helps Lord Xinling obtain the tiger tally, Hou Ying devises the plan, and Zhu Hai accompanies him. Lord Xinling then takes command of Jin Bi’s army and marches to save Zhao. The episode brings strategy, loyalty and personal choice into one tense decision.

The display places the handoff of the tiger tally at its center: two figures reach toward each other, while the general, city gate and guards suggest the army preparing to move. Walk up to the plaque to open the full story.

The Millet Dream · Glory Before the Grain Is Cooked

The Millet Dream is not a Warring States historical event. It is the literary tale in Shen Jiji’s Tang-dynasty story 枕中记 (“The Pillow Record”). At an inn in Handan, Lu Sheng meets Lü Weng, borrows a pillow and dreams through a life of success, marriage, office and reversals of fortune.

The entire life passes in an instant. When Lu Sheng wakes, the innkeeper’s millet is still not cooked. That ending compresses a long career into a dream and invites reflection on status, wealth and the measure of a life.

The display shows Lu Sheng on the couch, Lü Weng beside the millet pot, and a cloud-borne palace above them for the dream world. Here Lü Weng follows 枕中记; he is not identified with the later legendary figure Lü Dongbin.

Han Fei Hall · Reading & Reflection

This themed study is part of the Warring States cultural route. Its scene focuses on reading, teaching and reflection; it is not an archaeological reconstruction of a place where Han Fei taught.

A teacher holds bamboo slips and gestures behind the central desk, with writing slips, a brush and an inkstone laid out in front. Four pupils read or write at two side tables. Storage cabinets and a screen marked “Reading · Reflection” complete the room.

Follow either side of the story courtyard to the separate forecourt, then enter through the central doorway. The central aisle, side aisles and rear path remain open. Press F at the entrance or near the teaching desk, or tap the lower-right prompt on a phone. Use the upper-left language button to switch between Chinese and English.

Immortals Garden · Pavilion & Coast

The cross-shaped bridges meet at a double-roof pavilion with a continuous stone floor, four entrances, timber beams, eave brackets, upper latticework and signs on both sides. Corner benches and hanging lanterns leave the central routes open.

Six shallow steps lead to the northern sea-view terrace, with stone railings, side benches, a patterned floor and warm stone lanterns. The name plaque stands beside the stairs rather than across them. A forty-metre corridor follows the eastern coast. These details are a themed design for this world, not a measured reconstruction.

The coastal corridor has a continuous tiled roof, timber beams, stone column bases, sea-facing benches, a coastal railing, signs at both ends and warm lanterns. Its pond-side entrance stays open. The Emperor Well has a recessed shaft, water, a stone rim, a timber windlass, a crank, a rope and a bucket. Collision protection keeps visitors out of the shaft, and the name plaque stands beside the path.

A waterwheel, steles, pines and warm path lights complete the garden. Follow the paths and bridges around the ornamental pond; use the outer coast for swimming between islands.

Qu Yuan lifts his face and both arms, with broad sleeves falling beneath his hands. Xu Fu has a long beard and tied hair, holding bamboo slips in one hand while the other rests inside a sleeve. These distinct pale-stone sculptures have detailed faces, robes, backs and local baked lighting.
